Being born and raised in Jamaica, and spending plenty of time here over the past few years, we’ve discovered some of the very best the area has to offer.
Start with a trip to the farmers’ market in Lucea town, just 8 minutes away, where you can find naturally grown fruits and vegetables, fresh meats, and the catch of the day straight from local fishermen. Lucea is a historic town, home to some of Jamaica’s oldest buildings and one of the island’s largest harbours – perfect for a leisurely stroll and a taste of local culture.
Feeling hungry? The famous Waterfront Restaurant and Bar is only 6 minutes away, serving authentic Jamaican flavours with a beautiful ocean view. And for adventure lovers, Chukka Adventure Tours is just 5 minutes further, offering everything from zip-lining to horseback riding on the beach.
